St. Croix Internship - Student: Alexandra Duro

Summer Internship in St Croix
Student Name: Alexandra Duro

Alexandra Duro is a current Senior enrolled in the Landscape Architecture program and was given the opportunity to travel to St. Croix, USVI for two weeks to intern for the National Park Service.  She is working out of the Christiansted Fort.  One of her many rolls is archiving historical maps of all three National Parks in St. Croix.  She will also be designing a conceptual plan for the water well located at the Salt River National Park.  She was also given the opportunity to work with one of the NPS Rangers  on school field trips to Buck Island, where she is basically helping lead kids to these National monuments to educate the kids as to why it is important to preserve Buck Island and the coral reef barrie that surrounds 2/3rds of that island.
