MAT-TEC CLASS IN THE FAB LAB, WORKING ON A CHAIR AND BENCH DESIGN.
THE FIRST GROUP IS MAKING 4 D CHAIRS MADE OUT OF CARD BOARD AND PVC PIPES. THE USED THE LASER CUTTER MACHINE TO CUTE OUT EACH INDIVIDUAL PIECE, WHICH IS THEN PUT TOGETHER WITH THE PVC PIPES RUNING THROUGH IT TO MAINTAIN THE WEIGHT AND INTEGRITY OF THE STRUCTURE.
GROUP #2, WHO IS MAKING A BENCH OUT OF PLYWOOD. THEY ARE ALSO CUTTING INDIVIDUAL PIECES OF PLYWOOD AND THEN OFFSETTING THEM AT A RHYTHMIC DISTANCE. THE PIECES ARE THEN ALL CONNECTED TO ONE MAIN RIB.
